Privacy Policy
Fenjan for iOS · Last updated 10 September 2026
Fenjan is a micro-learning app that writes short daily articles about topics you choose. This policy explains what data the app handles, who receives it, and how to remove it.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address, or your Apple ID token if you sign in with Apple. Apple's "Hide My Email" relay addresses are supported. No password is ever stored.
- Topics and articles. The topics you pick and the articles generated for you. These are stored on your device. Your topic names and reading history are sent to our AI provider to generate the next articles.
- Purchases. Whether you hold an active subscription, the product bought, and its renewal date. We never see your payment details; Apple handles billing.
- Push token. If you turn on notifications, the device token Apple issues so we can deliver reminders.
- Diagnostics. Crash and error logs in development builds only.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifier, or browsing activity, and we do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
Who receives it
- Supabase hosts authentication and your profile (email, user id).
- RevenueCat validates App Store purchases and stores your subscription status against your user id.
- Apple processes payments, Sign in with Apple, and push notification delivery.
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to receive your topic names and article titles to generate content. We do not send your email or identity with these requests.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Where it lives
Your articles and topics stay on your device. Your account and subscription status live with the providers above. Your sign-in session is stored in the iOS keychain.
Deleting your data
Open Settings → Delete account in the app. This permanently deletes your account and profile from our servers and removes your topics from the device. Subscription records at Apple and RevenueCat are retained as required for billing; cancel the subscription itself in your App Store settings.
Children
Fenjan is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We will update this page when the policy changes and note the date above.
